The gold exploration site, covering an area of 24 km² (11 blocks), is located in the Abai Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the West Kalba metallogenic zone, an area where several gold prospects have been identified.
The project is currently at the exploration stage. It is held under an exploration license.
Resources:
- Category P2 prognostic resources: 3.5 tonnes
- Category P3 prognostic resources: 2.3 tonnes
- Prospective zones: 8
- Estimated exploration budget: $4 million
Key project features:
- Two mineral occurrences with gold grades of up to 1 g/t have been identified within the site.
- Anomalies with gold grades of up to 9 g/t have been detected in the immediate vicinity of the site.
- The application of specific technology has reduced the exploration area from 20 km² up to 10 km², enabling the focus of subsequent geological exploration activities on the most promising zones.
- The site is located 6 km from the nearest settlement; a highway runs 6 km from the site.
Financial and economic indicators:
- NPV: $44.7 million
- Planning horizon: 10 years
- The preliminary geological-economic model is based on estimated resources of 5.8 tonnes of gold and includes three scenarios: minimum, median, and maximum.
Transaction format:
Various transaction formats are being considered, taking into account the project stage, investment strategy, and the potential partner's objectives.
